UPSC IAS Exam Pattern 2015 Details
The UPSC Indian Administrative Service Exam is divided into two parts:
(I) Preliminary Examination- Objective Type (Qualifier)
(II) Main Examination -Written Test
(III) Interview/Personality Test
Preliminary Exam Pattern 2015:

Main Examination Pattern 2015:
This exam consist total 9 qualifying papers (conventional essay type questions). Details are mentioned below:

IAS Selection Process:
Candidates undergo the prescribed selection procedure which comprises following phases:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
On the basis of performance in prelims and main both the papers a merit list is made and contestants get shortlisted on its basis.
After the shortlisted competitors are called for interview on which basis they get selection for IAS Post.
